St. Teresa of Avila School has been described as a “Crock-pot school”. It is warm, bubbly, and good things come out of it. We are mutually supportive within the faculty, students, administration and parents. We are concerned about learning, sharing, growing and striving in a collaborative effort with positive responses to expectations.
We have faculty and student prayer, community liturgies, retreat days for the faculty and students, living stations, Posada, and a May crowning. Some of the services we perform are: collecting money for the Christ Our Brother Fund, food drives, visits to the McAuley Residence or St. Peter’s Hospital, poinsettia plants to shut-ins, “Toy Mass”, which provides toys for children who are less fortunate, and other things that may arise. We have fun together too! We have a full Thanksgiving dinner for the entire faculty, students, staff, and volunteers. We have a Trim the Tree Party at the Rectory, an Ice Cream Social, Faculty luncheons, faculty arts/crafts, family roller skating, and fun, fundraising dinners
